1. Papine Market
This bustling market situated in the heart of Papine comes alive on Saturday, the traditional market day in Jamaica. The array of items for sale forms a kaleidoscope of colours. Jamaican fruits such as mangoes in many different shades, naseberries, and ripe bananas add not only colours but also smells that can soothe a weary soul. Vegetables too are always on display, red and green peppers, carrots and radishes. There is also a frenzy of activity outside the market with sellers hawking their wares. Metropolitan Parks and Markets operates the market.
